These greenhouse gases that include carbon dioxide are emitted into the atmosphere from the burning of fossil fuels, forestry and land clearances, production and consumption of food, manufactured goods, materials, buildings, factories, transportation and many other services. How can UAE contribute in this global challenge that Earth is facing today? Can we think of new ways to reduce carbon footprint across all industries in the seven Emirates? Obesity in children is a cause of concern in the UAE. Various statistics show that many students are obese and suffer from obesity-related health issues, and it is expected that the number of overweight children will continue to rise. How do we combat child obesity in the UAE? Can we influence their habits? What is the role of technology in raising obesity levels? What solutions can we innovate in order to deal with obesity and reduce it to Zero during the next 50 years?

Plastics are considered inexpensive and convenient for businesses, which led to the high use of those items across all sectors. However, the accumulation of plastic objects and waste (bottles, bags etc.) in the UAE environment pollutes and threatens the wildlife, the wildlife habitat and ultimately the people. We still depend on plastic products in our daily lives but the growing amounts of plastic waste is becoming a major environmental concern, both internationally and locally.
